U-CHAE, ICHILLIN’ and CRAXY set the stage alight on the K-Pop Breakout Tour

ORLANDO, FL (August 18, 2024) – K-Pop artists, U-CHAE, ICHILLIN’ and CRAXY, kicked off the highly anticipated K-Pop Breakout Tour 2024 in Sanford, FL with energetic and breathtaking performances. The path to the start of this tour was a rocky one. Due to visa issues, Leo Presents announced on their social media accounts Aug. 13 that TRENDZ would be unable to perform at the first six stops, joining the tour in Boston, MA. On top of that, Leo Presents had finished wrapping the successful North America leg of the VIVIZ world tour on Aug. 14, creating a tight turnaround schedule for the crew.

Despite these obstacles, the tour began with an electric start. Dubbed online as the “K-Pop Warped Tour,” fans had high expectations for the tour. U-CHAE opened the tour with a sweet summer love song, “Wait for You.” Marking the beginning of her solo career, the crowd was incredibly responsive to the singer. They swayed in time to her singing, jumped along to her upbeat songs, and even shed a few tears during U-CHAE’s emotional fan song “One Sweet Day.” Closing her set with a wide smile and many thanks, ICHILLIN’ prepared to take the stage next.

Launching into the school girl-crush-esque song “KICK-START,” ICHILLIN’ evoked roars of excitement from the crowd. Playing a mix of their newer releases and deeper cuts from their first mini album, the girl group showed high levels of energy and charisma throughout their entire set. The members made a great effort to interact with the fans, using multiple songs to take phones from the crowd. During one of their speaking segments, they gleefully celebrated Chowon’s birthday with the crowd. ICHILLIN’ also surprised the audience with a dance cover medley section. Covering songs like Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You”, Kiss of Life’s “Sticky” and ATEEZ’s “Work,” had the audience eagerly anticipating the next cover. Finishing with “La Luna,” ICHILLIN’ perfectly set the tone for CRAXY to take over the mics.

With their hip-hop style, CRAXY brought a different kind of energy to the stage. The members performed with laser focus and overflowing swag and charism. Their set was filled with high-intensity songs, from spitfire raps to flawless dancing, CRAXY did not rest. Also surprising the audience with a dance cover medley, they selected popular K-Pop songs like “Growl” by EXO and “Queencard” by (G)I-DLE. Fans enjoyed the medley so much, that Swan even jokingly claimed they loved the dance cover stages more than CRAXY’s actual songs. The dance cover medley wasn’t the only surprise stage the artists had for the audience. Swan shocked everyone by singing “Rewrite the Stars” from the movie musical “The Greatest Showman.” And to everyone’s further shock, former PIXY and Cherry Bullet member, Ju appeared to complete the duet with Swan. Throughout their whole set it felt like CRAXY never wanted fans to guess their next move, pulling out a Beyonce cover of “Crazy in Love” and even jumping into the audience during the performance, the girl group had fans on their toes.

Although TRENDZ was unable to perform at the Orlando stop, the other artists brought their all. Performing with immeasurable passion, the concert never felt like it was lacking. The K-Pop Breakout Tour 2024 will continue to travel across North America through September, bringing these rising K-Pop stars to new and old fans alike.
